I've been where you are. Stressed and disenfranchised from working in a toxic salon. Tired and unhealthy from not being able to take care of myself properly. My business (and life) was suffering because of my environment, and I realized that no one's growth should be hindered by others. For too long we have accepted the fact that salons are just toxic-but they don't have to be!

 

My name is Crystal McKenna. I've been a booth rental hair stylist for 17 years and Covid really showed me the importance of being able to control my business. 6S came into being when after looking for a while I couldn't seem to find a salon space that checked all my boxes. I realized that to get what I wanted I'd have to build it myself!

 

For the last 10 years I've seen the industry shifting for the better and I want to be part of the change. I see a place where you can be your own boss surrounded by others with the same ambition. A place where, when you're not actively working on guests, you have the ability to walk downstairs and actively take care of yourself. Too often we prioritize our business over self-care. I want to help you achieve a better work-life balance. You deserve a space where at any time you can escape from your suite to meditate, stretch, work out, do book work, sit, eat and just have a place to be quiet. No longer do you need to stay stuck in a space that doesn't allow you to grow.
